Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

This policy applies to purchases from Tinkerers Fable. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Change-of-mind cancellations for online orders

For goods bought online, you will normally have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return the goods.

Made to order does not, by itself, remove this cancellation right. Standard products printed after you order, including standard colour, material or size choices offered on the product page, will normally remain subject to the usual cancellation rules.

The statutory cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your personal specifications or clearly personalised for you. If a custom commission or bespoke order falls within that exception, we will make this clear before you place the order.

How to cancel

Email Tinkerersfable@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may also use the model cancellation form below.

Returning cancelled goods

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning them. Please package returns carefully and obtain proof of posting.

You may inspect goods in the same way you reasonably could in a shop. If handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, we may make any deduction from the refund that the law permits for loss in value.

Refunds for change-of-mind cancellations

Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods and the cost of our standard delivery option. Any additional amount paid for a premium or expedited delivery service does not have to be refunded beyond the cost of standard delivery.

Refunds will be made within the time required by law, normally no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, is the wrong item, or is materially different from its description, contact us at Tinkerersfable@gmail.com as soon as reasonably possible. Please include your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful.

Where goods do not meet your statutory rights, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law. Where a return is required because the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed, we will cover reasonable return costs where the law requires us to do so.

Normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing

Fine layer lines, small seam marks, support-contact marks and minor surface or filament-batch colour variation are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and do not automatically mean a product is faulty. This does not affect your rights where the product is genuinely defective or not as described.
